Sure, good idea. So far we had applicants from the most prestigious universities, and some others which I rejected. But almost none started any actual work with the DB (except one 2+2er, spadebidder, I have already included an example from him in the distribution).

The effective SPR is a great statistic here because it rolls in a very strong measure of the 'variance reward' that poker hands will experience: the smaller the ESPR, the closer to straight up equity rankings the list should look like. Anyway, I would encourage someone to take a look at this, as it is probably the most practical and useful application of a large mine like this.

Is there any way to get these kinds of statistics from the HH database? I suppose not as those hand don't necessarily indicate the continuous actions of individual players...? Anyway, in stead of starting a new thread, I thought I would be better to start the discussion here. Anyone any idea what would be the 'average' amount of hands a player plays before taking a break or even calling it a day?

What they mean by "100 consequtive games" - is this 100 hands?

Thousands of poker players for sure have played much more consequtive hands than that.

The DB has date/time played for each hand - so should help in such analysis.

Not sure myself. According to the way it is written down I would think that they are talking about 'gambling' games, not specifically about poker.

Does this dataset include any data on hole cards for people who folded? If so, I'd be really interested to see what cards people are most likely to fold by street.

im interested in the „normal“ or average standarddeviation Players in NLHE Fullring have. I want to know which range of sd the players with over 50k hands have (the „blue“ players in your EV Distribution) compared to bb/100.
Maybe you have already run these stats or it is possible to do it for me?
